About This Package
Mount Kenya (5,199 m at Batian, 5,188 m at Nelion) is Africa's second-highest mountain and one of its most spectacular. Unlike Kilimanjaro, Kenya's twin summit peaks require technical rock climbing, but Point Lenana (4,985 m) — the third-highest summit — is accessible to trekkers and offers extraordinary views of the glaciated summit towers. The Sirimon to Chogoria traverse is widely considered the finest way to experience the mountain, crossing from the dry northwestern moorlands to the lush Gorges Valley and Lake Michaelson on the eastern side. Included in this package is a guided attempt on Point Lenana (4,985 m) for trekkers.
